The IOE Foundation (the “Foundation”) was registered with the Charity Commission on 5 July 2022 as a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). The IOE Foundation was formed as a separate entity but works alongside the global trade specialists, The Institute of Export and International Trade.
The IOE Foundation is here to support young individuals aged 16-25 towards a successful career in international trade. We will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and networks necessary to excel in export and international trade.
Its charitable objects are: The advancement of education of young people in export and international trade within the ages of 16-25 years in the UK by the provision of financial grants which support education initiatives at schools, colleges, and universities.
The Foundation does not have any geographical restriction in its charitable objects and is therefore able to work in the UK and internationally.
In addition, the Foundation can support individuals, institutions, and charities in advancing its charitable objects of educating young people in export and international trade.
The Foundation will set out its priorities in terms of support to other charities and grant-making. This will help in managing the expectations of others that we may (or may not) choose to work with. The grant-making policy is currently being considered by the Foundation’s Trustees and will be finalised and adopted very shortly, together with a link to a proposed application form for applicants to complete and submit for consideration by the Foundation’s Trustees.
How can we help?
Our mission statement:
To improve the landscape of export and international trade education for young individuals aged 16-25 in the UK and internationally.
Through the provision of vital financial grants, we create opportunities and support the growth of educational initiatives in schools, colleges, and universities.
